Winter Percussion (Indiana Percussion Association)

The Westfield Winter Percussion program is an extra-curricular activity that usually lasts 4 months during the winter. Percussion students work together to perfect a performance and compete in contests against other high school percussion ensembles. It allows students to become proficient at new percussion instruments and work as a team on a program that is specifically tailored to percussionists. Westfield Winter Percussion is open to all musicians grades 8-12.
We will start off the season by having an informational meeting followed by a clinic on Friday November 8th, 2019 in the HS band room from 6-9p. Doors will open at 5:45p. Any interested students and parents grades 8-12 should attend. The informational meeting portion will last about 30 minutes and will be followed by a clinic until 9p. Students will rehearse two nights a week starting December 3rd, 2019 on Tuesday’s and Friday’s from 6-9p. This year the group will compete in ISSMA Solo and Ensemble and IPA contests on Saturday’s starting on February 1st through April 4th, 2019. You will receive all of the 2019-2020 forms as well as information about show music and the season schedule.
